Reflet Salvéo unveils mental health awareness-raising campaign

This mental health campaign specifically targets Francophones, especially newcomers.

Toronto, February 20, 2016: :

After a study and several consultations revealed a lack of information on mental health and addictions within the Francophone population, notably the persistence of myths and taboos on the subject, Reflet Salvéo took the initiative to develop an awareness campaign to address these issues. The campaign was launched today.

The campaign consists of a web page,, and uses several mediums. Videos were prepared for social networks, as well as several tools to be used by service providers and community partners. These tools including a workbook on self-identifying how one feels which can be used individually or in a group setting, such as a workshop.

“For this campaign, we developed a community approach, integrating the community in all stages of our process,» said Reflet Salvéo CEO Gilles Marchildon. We assembled an advisory committee with members and representatives of Francophone organizations and institutions involved in this issue, as well as professionals and experts in mental health.

This campaign was made possible thanks to the financial support of the Toronto Central LHIN.
